Manage teams settings

Configure default visibility and access for Team reports and restrict access to the Teams feature based on HRIS data.

Updated over 2 weeks ago

Overview

Team report settings control who can view Team reports and what level of data is visible at the account level.

These settings act as default visibility rules that automatically apply when a new team is created.

Team access control (AC) filters allow you to limit access to Team reports to specific parts of your organization.

Note: Only Account Owners can configure these settings.

Set default team report visibility

To configure the default report settings:

  1. Go to Settings.

  2. Select Campaigns, users and teams.

  3. Click Manage Teams.

  4. Select Edit.

In this section, you can define the default visibility options for Team reports on your account.

You can choose who can access the report:

  • Team manager only

  • Both the manager and team members

  • No one (in that case, it will only be visible to admins)

You can also hide individual user results from the team manager. When enabled, managers will only see aggregated team results.

Teams access control filters

AC filters use HRIS data (such as region or department) to control which administrators can access the Teams feature.

This helps organizations manage phased rollouts or restrict access to specific business units.

Note: If your account does not have any HRIS data available, you can apply access filters using tags.

Configure HRIS access filters

To create an access filter:

  1. Choose the HRIS data fields you want to use (for example, country, region, or department).

  2. Select Add filter.

  3. Repeat the process to add additional filters if needed.

Once configured, only administrators whose HRIS data matches the defined filter values will see the Teams menu.

For example:

  • If the filter includes Region = EMEA, users in the EMEA region will have access to Teams.

  • If the filter includes Department = Operations or Engineering, users in those departments will also have access.

Users without matching HRIS data will not be able to access the Teams feature.

Use tags for access control (without HRIS)

If your account does not use an HRIS integration, you can apply the same access controls using tags.

Once configured, only users with the specified tags will be able to access the Teams feature.
