Should I invite users via email/link or create them in the All Users table first?
Updated this week

The best way to invite users to take an assessment(s) would be to send them an invite either via link or via email. You can see how to create an invite campaign here.

Why use a link vs. an email

If you don’t want to invite someone to take an assessment through our platform and you want to send an invite through your personal or work email address, the best way to do that is by using a link.

If you want to invite someone to take an assessment through our platform, use the “Send email” option. That way, you can see how many users have completed their assessment in one place, how many have not yet started, and similar. You can also send a follow-up email directly from our platform to those who haven’t completed an assessment yet.

Assign assessment to a user

If you have created a new user by going to “All Users” tab and clicking on the “+Create user” button, this only creates a user account but doesn’t assign the assessment to the user.

For the user to be able to take the assessment, you need to manually assign it to the created user. First, select the user from the "All Users" table. Then, navigate to the "Assessment & Reports" tab and select "Assign assessment".

Choose the assessment and report you want to assign to this user. You can find more information about different report types here.

If you don’t select any report, the user won’t get a report after they complete the assessment. To complete the process, click "Confirm".

If you want the user to take multiple assessments, repeat these steps for each one.

Note: If you choose this approach, you won't be able to send reminders or track user progress. We highly recommend inviting users through the "Campaigns" feature instead.
